On their shared stand (no. 1H51, hall 1) both companies will be presenting a live demonstration of an intralogistics process perfectly linked across every stage – from incoming goods via storage and retrieval to the fully automated handling of outgoing goods using robot technology. The solution permits gradual automation of the logistics process while cutting process costs and improving overall efficiency. In order to meet the high requirements in terms of availability, Kardex Remstar is also presenting its new remote support solution that guarantees smooth operation of the system.
Pioneering remote support from Kardex Remstar
The new solution goes way beyond the classic service: Instead of providing remote maintenance via access to the unit for a limited period of time, the Life Cycle Service from Kardex Remstar is in a position to permanently monitor every unit via a portal and perform anticipatory maintenance. With the help of the portal customers can continuously display and review the usage behavior of their storage units. The optimal time for preventive maintenance of all the units can be determined on the basis of this data.
At the same time, customers get a live overview of the status of their units. In the event of a fault, Kardex Remstar service employees switch directly to the affected unit and perform remote diagnostics. This ultimately reduces unplanned downtimes to a considerable extent and also cuts costs across the entire life cycle of the machines. The pioneering remote support from Kardex Remstar is made possible by a new Web-based technology that can encrypt machine information and transfer it securely.
