Dr. Andreas Häberli and Eugen Elmiger proposed for election to the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the Kardex Group will propose to the 42nd Annual General Meeting on April 14, 2020, that Dr. Andreas Häberli and Eugen Elmiger will be newly elected to the Board. As already reported at the 2019 Annual General Meeting, a comprehensive process was initiated in 2018 to gradually renew the Board of Directors, which has worked together successfully since 2012. Walter T. Vogel will not be standing for re-election after 14 years on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors thanks Walter T. Vogel for his great commitment and wishes him all the best for the future.

Eugen Elmiger, a long-standing executive at the Swiss engine and drive systems manufacturer Maxon Motor (with the company since 1991, CEO since 2011), has made a substantial contribution to significant, profitable growth. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of electromechanics and the application sectors of Maxon products (in particular automotive and industrial automation, measurement and testing technology, robotics, medical technology, aerospace and sensor technology). Eugen Elmiger completed a General Management Program at the HSG St. Gallen after completing his basic training as an electrical engineer. After an Executive Program at Stanford Business School, he completed the CEO Program at HSG St. Gallen in 2013.

Andreas Häberli has been with the dormakaba Group (or Kaba Group) in various management positions since 2003 and has been Chief Technology Officer of the Group since 2011. In this position, his expertise in mechatronics and disruptive technologies makes a significant contribution to the development of the company. He contributes his extensive technological knowledge as a member of the Industrial Advisory Board of the ETH Zurich and as a member of the SWISSMEM Research Commission. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of Komax AG since 2017. Andreas Häberli holds a doctorate in Technical Sciences from ETH Zurich and most recently studied financial management for executives at the St. Gallen Business School.

With Eugen Elmiger and Andreas Häberli, the Kardex Group was able to recruit two candidates whose profiles complement those of the Board of Directors in the best possible way. While Andreas Häberli brings extensive technological know-how to the Board, in particular through his knowledge in many areas of digitization, Eugen Elmiger, CEO of Maxon Motor, which operates worldwide, further enhances the Kardex Group's international management and industry knowledge.
