Kardex is pleased to partner with Pirtek Fluid Systems Australia, the world’s leading supplier of premium fluid transfer solutions, on the implementation of a new AutoStore system.
Pirtek’s strong reputation for engineering excellence, safety and customer service reflects a business committed to delivering reliable solutions and continually evolving to meet customer needs. This project supports that ambition, strengthening operational efficiency and enabling scalable growth as demand increases.
The installation includes more than 20,000 bins, 17 R5 robots, four Carousel Ports and Kardex software, creating a high-density, robotics-driven fulfilment environment engineered for precision and reliability. It also incorporates innovations such as the Intuitive Picking Assistant (IPA) and automated maintenance features including a cleaning station, helping to maintain system performance while keeping storage and handling simple.
By combining modular automation with intelligent orchestration, the system improves picking efficiency, reduces manual handling and enables scalable capacity as operational requirements grow.
This investment reflects Pirtek’s commitment to strengthening performance across its supply chain.
With the project progressing on schedule, a key milestone has recently been reached with the successful induction of the first bin into the AutoStore grid. This marks an important step forward and highlights the strong collaboration between the Pirtek and Kardex teams.
