From 2 to 4 March MLOG presented solutions and products based upon the themes of sustainability and efficiency on its redesigned exhibition stand. This year, the topics most widely discussed were the modular SAP-certified material flow control system MCC and the potential for the optimisation of energy management along with customised automation solutions in warehouse logistics. In addition, the strengthening of the management by the appointment of Hans-Jürgen Heitzer and the relocation of administration and production to the ultramodern site at Neuenstadt am Kocher attracted much interest among the international industry professionals on the MLOG stand.
The positive response to the presentations by Uwe Gilke, Modernisation and Refurbishment Project Manager, and Mark Vogt, Head of Sales and Marketing, which took place within the framework of the forum, showed that the energy saving potential of warehouses and also automated order picking methods for storage and retrieval machines are in demand. Mark Vogt summarised the situation: “LogiMAT has shown that the sector is experiencing an upswing. The positive feedback from visitors and customers to our new products and efficiency solutions bear out that assessment”.
Let us not forget the stand party on Wednesday evening, which has now become an integral part of LogiMAT. This was hosted on the MLOG stand along with its partners SIMplan and Integral. Musical and culinary delights made the party once again one of the highlights of the trade fair in the visitors’ unanimous opinion.
The increased numbers of visitors (up by 19.4%) and exhibitors (up by 6.7%) show that LogiMAT is back on the road to success again. In particular its importance among the international public and exhibitors could be set to increase. The next LogiMAT takes place from 8 to 10 February 2011, once again in Stuttgart.
