Amwittools Expands Further with Three New Kardex Shuttles and Visual Order Picking System

Ter Aar, July 2025 – Amwittools International, a leading supplier of high-quality tools, has expanded its warehouse capacity with three additional Kardex Shuttles and the innovative Kardex Color Pick system. The company now operates nine Kardex Shuttles, spread across two U-shaped aisles. This expansion boosts logistical flexibility, increases processing speed, and keeps the error rate below 0.1%.

Visual order picking with Color Pick and WTA

Kardex Color Pick allows multiple employees to work on the same batch simultaneously without interference. Color-coded carts, bins, and displays clearly indicate what to pick, where, and when.

For even greater precision, Amwittools also uses the Wearable Task Assistant (WTA) – a hands-free device that provides step-by-step picking instructions. The result: less waiting, less cognitive effort, and extra control for critical orders.
