Kardex and FDC have expanded their integration to help industrial operators automate complex parts operations without disrupting existing operational systems.

The integrated solution combines AutoStore™, powered by Kardex FulfillX, with FDC Warehouse Management, enabling customers to introduce high-density automated storage while maintaining established workflows, data logic, and operational visibility. The pre-built integration is designed to support the unique fulfillment requirements common in industrial and dealer environments, including mixed-priority orders, will-call pickup, and regional distribution models.

For many industrial operators, automation adoption is slowed by concerns about WMS complexity and operational disruption. By integrating FulfillX directly with FDC Warehouse Management, Kardex and FDC remove that barrier, providing a clear, repeatable path to automation that fits into existing operations.

The integration has already been proven in live operations, including at Warren CAT, a Caterpillar dealer serving West Texas and Oklahoma. At the company’s new parts facility in Midland, Texas, the combined solution supports a high-density AutoStore system that improves storage efficiency, accelerates order fulfillment, and accommodates multiple delivery workflows – all without replacing the dealer’s existing WMS environment.

“With this integration, industrial operators don’t have to choose between automation and the accounting and order management systems they rely on every day,” said TJ Fanning, Vice President Sales & Consulting at Kardex Solutions – Americas. “We’ve created a solution that allows customers to modernize at their own pace while preserving operational continuity.”

“Industrial operations have very specific fulfillment needs,” said Jordan Hodges, FDC CEO. “This integration gives companies a proven path to introduce automation that enhances their processes in ways that make them more efficient and profitable.”

With this integration now established, Kardex and FDC can support future deployments more quickly, offering industrial customers a scalable automation framework that grows alongside their business.

To further support industrial and dealer customers evaluating automation, Kardex will host an exclusive AutoStore Xperience Day for Caterpillar dealers on April 23, 2026 at the Warren CAT facility in Midland, Texas. The event will provide a live look at the integrated solution in operation, demonstrating how AutoStore powered by Kardex FulfillX supports dealer workflows such as Parts Shuttle, Will Call, and Engine Shop orders in a real operational environment.
