Kardex has successfully completed and gone live with AutoStore system - automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) for Dine Inc.’s manufacturing facility in Changwon, South Korea, supporting the company’s ongoing digital transformation within the tooling industry.
The project demonstrates how a compact automation solution can deliver high levels of efficiency in manufacturing environments where space optimization and handling accuracy are critical.
The implemented system includes 2,420 bins, two robots, and two ports, enabling a streamlined goods-to-person workflow that improves material handling processes and supports more structured inventory management. By introducing automated storage, Dine Inc. is enhancing operational consistency and improving overall visibility across its logistics operations.
As part of its broader smart manufacturing initiative, the company is strengthening its logistics infrastructure to better support production and inventory control. The integration of automation technology contributes to improved accuracy, reduced manual handling, and more efficient material flow within the facility.
Despite its relatively compact scale, the system delivers strong operational performance by maximizing storage density and supporting faster, more reliable picking processes. This project highlights how small and mid-sized manufacturing environments can benefit from scalable automation solutions tailored to their operational needs.
