Intralogistics: Kardex Mlog opts for experience in BeNeLux

In January, Rinus Geurts, Area Sales Manager BeNeLux and Thomas Schoch, International Sales Manager at Kardex Mlog will look back on 35 years of experience in the logistics industry. The two intralogistics specialists are responsible for international business development with a focus on the BeNeLux sales region. Whereas Geurts has been working for Kardex Mlog right through since 2014, Schoch returned to the company in October 2021. A native of Westphalia, Germany Thomas Schoch was with Kardex Mlog from 2012 until 2014 before taking up a position with a rival company where he worked for seven years. The wealth of experience shared by Rinus Geurts and Thomas Schoch exemplifies the strategy of Kardex Mlog of filling key positions with employees who have many years of expertise.

Rinus Geurts is Area Sales Manager BeNeLux at Kardex Mlog. The Dutchman gained his initial experience in intralogistics in 2007 in the role of Sales Manager Holland for a provider of warehousing solutions and automated storage systems. Following two further career positions at well-known solution providers, he joined Kardex Mlog in October 2014. Guerts shares “At Kardex Mlog we focus on fully automated solutions, where the project planning has a long lead time”. He continues on to explain that “during the long design phase, we focus in detail on the processes of each specific project which allows us to build a close relationship with our customers from the very beginning”. Geurts, who studied marketing and communications at the University of Eindhoven from 1998 to 2003 is also a passionate amateur chef. He lives with his family in Limburg and, in addition to his native language, also fluently speaks German and English.
 
Thomas Schoch is International Sales Manager at Kardex Mlog. Having completed his studies in Electrical Engineering and Automation Technology at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lemgo, Germany; he began his career in 2004 at a manufacturer of conveying technology and stacker cranes, where he focused on intralogistics right from the beginning. Schoch initially worked as a programmer where he carried out commissioning tasks. He subsequently took on the role of project manager for complex logistics projects. Following another position with an internationally active, major system integrator, he joined Kardex Mlog. At Kardex, Schoch worked in project management and sales from 2012 to 2014. Then, the avid sailor and outdoor sportsman moved to another intralogistics provider to broaden his experience, before returning to Kardex Mlog in October 2021.
