New automated distribution center to support one of France’s leading publishing groups. Kardex has been selected by Groupe Madrigall, one of France's leading publishing groups and the parent company of renowned publishing houses including Gallimard, Flammarion, and Casterman, to deliver an integrated high-throughput warehouse automation solution for its new distribution center.
At the heart of the solution is a large-scale AutoStore™ system comprising approximately 300,000 storage bins and 300 robots. Kardex will also provide the warehouse control software and integrate the surrounding automation, including conveying, carton handling, and robotic palletizing. The integrated solution is designed to support high-throughput order fulfilment while maximizing storage density, operational efficiency, and system flexibility. Kardex will furthermore participate in the provision of long-term maintenance and lifecycle services, helping to ensure reliable operation throughout the system's lifetime.

The project is scheduled to commence in the coming months, subject to obtaining the remaining administrative approvals, while the new high-throughput distribution center is scheduled to go live in June 2028.
