Storing & Packing Rules

Item Nesting

Kardex FulfillX can leverage Paccurate's logic to nest items inside of other items that have internal capacity (e.g. bowls, boxes, hats). This maximizes cube utilization inside AutoStore bins and reduces outbound shipping volume. 

Lock Orientation 

Orientation-sensitive items (e.g., liquids, electronics, fragile components) are supported. The lock-orientation rule ensures these items are packed upright or in their safe configuration, both in AutoStore bins and in outbound cartons.

Pack As Is 

Items pre-packed in branded boxes or those that meet SIOC (Ship In Own Container) standards can be tagged to bypass further packing logic. FulfillX will recognize these and ensure they are handled separately in both bin placement and shipping.
